The Laboratory of Bioorganic Chemistry and Molecular Imaging (LBCMI) at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland has an opening at the postdoctoral level in Prof. Elena Dubikovskaya’s laboratory (http://lcbim.epfl.ch).

Highly motivated individuals with strong background in chemistry biology/organic synthetic chemistry with ability to use synthesis as a tool to solve problems of biological and medicinal significance are encouraged to apply.

Position: The position offers an opportunity to work in a highly interdisciplinary environment and to lead projects that have potential to solve important problems in medicine. The major focus of all of the projects is development and synthesis and development of new targeted probes for molecular imaging and image guided surgery of cancer. Since all of the projects involve close collaborations with other groups in the areas of cancer biology, and clinical research, the position offers a unique opportunity to become familiar with these fields. This knowledge will be very helpful when looking for a job in pharmaceutical industry or academia.

Our offer: 2 years (1+1 upon mutual agreement), 81’000 – 95’000 CHF/year depending on qualifications.

Starting date: the position is opening in February, 2013.
