Periodic variabilities in the IUE spectra of SS Cygni

The anal. of the International UV Explorer (IUE) low resolution spectra of SS Cyg in quiescence clearly shows modulations with the orbital phase of the continuum and the emission lines total area. The shape of such modulations depends on the type of the optical outburst preceding the quiescent phase in which the UV spectra were collected. This behavior, together with those in other wavelength regions, could be explained within the framework of the intermediate polar models.

В 1987 автор этот 3 раза встречается. Похожего CA number нет. В предыдущей ссылке именно тот номер.

A series of experiments relevant to handling and storage of MgH2 is reported. With a comparable Mg powder as reference, 100-400 g MgH2 powder was ignited under various conditions and the temperature in and over the powder mass recorded. Also the reaction of the powder with water was investigated. MgH2 reacts in a similar way to Mg and should be handled accordingly, allowing, though, for the potential release of H during heating involving methods of noncombustion.
