The Chinese Journal of Explosives & Propellants (bimonthly), a national academic periodical, was supervised by China Association for Science and Technology and sponsored by China Ordnance Society and Xi’an Modern Chemistry Research Institute. It was started in 1978, and published at home and abroad in 1986. As the first Chinese journal in the field of explosives and propellants, it has the most influence and authority in China.
This Journal mainly publishes original research papers covering the fields of explosives and propellants or related, such as the synthesis techniques, processing technologies, physical and chemical analysis and tests, safety technologies of rocket propellants, gun propellants, explosives and boosters. This Journal serves for the research, production and teaching of the explosives and
propellants or related, for holding academic communications, for providing the information of new technical developments in explosives and propellants to the world. Being the core periodical for retrieval systems and database at home and abroad, members of its editorial committee are famous national scholars, academicians and foreign experts, who keep its high qualities. Over the past 30 years, thanks to the support from the leaders and authors, as well as the editorial committees and editors, the quality of the journal improved greatly, many articles fund-supported by National Natural Science Foundation were published in the journal. It has won many awards. According to the statistical results about Chinese scientific papers by China Institute of Science and Technology Information, the impact factor of our Journal comes out in front among the ordnance technological journals.
