о статье
Antifibrillant compounds derived from phenyl(2-hydroxy-phenyl)amine and from exo-2-[(2-hydroxyphenyl)amino]-bornane
Schmitt, Josef; Suquet, Michel; Callet, Georges; Raveux, Roger
Bulletin de la Societe Chimique de France (1962), 444-455
Varying degrees of antifibrillant activity are possessed by compounds resulting from the condensation of o-C6H4(OH)2 (I) with aniline (II) or of o-aminophenol with camphor in the presence of fused ZnCl2 or concentrated HCl, resp., and followed by reaction, in basic medium, of the phenolic OH with ClC2H4N4Et2 or similar chloro amines. The activity is enhanced by acylation of the aryl amine or by alkylation in the case of the I-II product. The use of 3- or 4-Me derivatives of I also results in increased activity. The aryl amines having an o-Me group could not be alkylated and were more difficult to acylate. Reduction of the acyl group with LiAlH4 resulted in mixtures of alkylated and unsubstituted diarylamines. Also produced were substituted ureas and carbamates, by addition of phosgene to the aryl amine then reaction with amines or alcohols, resp.
