A postdoctoral position is currently available in Energy research group. The research project focuses on the design of hierarchical nanocomposites of metals and zeolite sand their application for direct synthesis of high-octane gasoline from syngas. The work will also involve catalyst characterisation and catalytic tests in high pressure fixed bed, autoclave reactors and high throughput unit with 16 parallel reactors. Collaboration with University of California at Berkeley
Candidate background: PhD in catalysis and chemical engineering. Experience with catalyst synthesis and laboratory catalytic reactors. Background in GC analysis of hydrocarbons and oxygenates Catalyst characterization using the state of the art ex-situ and in-situ techniques Communication skills (oral, written, presentation). Proficiency in English.
