REQUIREMENTS
•PhD. At least 3 years of relevant experience and proven scientific output.
•Fluent English and Russian.
•2-3 years of experience resulting in broad working knowledge of the scientific/technical research and innovations.
•The ability to shape, resource and manage multiple scientific research projects.
•Previous experience in scientific research.
•This position requires a broad understanding of R&D with working knowledge of local and global research environment, food industry and consumer trends, and of relevant scientific/technical innovations.
•Proven written and oral communication skills.
•Well organized.
•Sets priorities on business impact, importance and urgency.
RESPONSIBILITIES
•Playing a key role in generating local knowledge on cats and dogs palatability
•Providing product palatability improvement recommendations to local R&D team.
•Leading projects scoping, designing and carrying out palatability studies and together with Russian NPD team develops product implementation plans.
•Supporting Global palatability research activities in liaison with Feeding Behavior Platform and local NPD team.
•Participating in Global conferences, meetings and workshops and contributes to global R&D community knowledge by publishing and communicating recent local research data.
•Identifies priorities and carries out research projects in support to Company Innovation Pipeline and Strategic business objectives.
•Agrees research projects priorities both with R&D and Marketing Teams.
•Searches and identifies potential collaborators among local scientific institutions.
•Participating global palatability activities, workshops and conferences.
•Contributing to global R&D community by publishing and communicating recent palatability research findings.
•Develops and carries out specific trainings for R&D.
•Identifies and together with Scientific Research Manager ensures IP protection of generated knowledge.
•Together with senior New Product Development managers priorities regional research activities through clear understanding of business strategy and the unit’s operational structure.
•Chooses appropriate research and testing methodologies in liaison with Feeding Behavior platform, modifies existent methodologies and develops new oens to fit research objectives.
•Competence availability: scientific challenge, methodologies and experimental design plans, creativity, innovation management.
