Reporting to/hierarchy:
For the PSA (Pressure Sensitive Adhesives) department: Head of Laboratory.
For the FE (fluoro-elastomers) department: Technical Manager.
Function details:
1)For the PSA department: this R&D chemist will help develop new Pressure Sensitive Adhesives for the industrial and medical tape applications.
2)For the FE department: this R&D scientist will help broaden Fluoro-elastomer business by modifying the fluoro-elastomer itself or by developing additives and curatives for the fluoro-elastomer applications.

Education and qualifications:
PhD in polymer chemistry, with good knowledge of rheology and polymerization.
Expertise in industrial processing of polymers, acrylates (coating polymers out of solvent or hot melt coating), with an understanding of physico-chemical properties of polymers and with a track record of determining structure/property relationships of polymers (PSA department).
Experience or the interest and talent to synthesize new polymers (PSA department).
Expertise and/or strong interest in industrial processing of polymers, with an understanding of physico-chemical properties of polymers, and with a track record of determining structure/property relationships of polymers (FE department).
Experience and knowledge or the interest and talent to synthesize new organic materials and design and synthesize new curing agents and fillers (FE department).
Personality and mentality:
Innovative and creative person with vision (policy is that 25 % of turnover has to come from products that did not yet exist over the last 4 years).
